Project Description

Baltimore Tower is a 45-storey building and Baltimore Tower was designed by one of the worlds most prominent and innovative architectural practices Sidmore Owings & Merill who also designed the Burj Khalifa. The development consists of 366 luxury apartments, a range of Studio, one, two, three-bedroom apartments with 4 penthouse apartments sitting on the top floors.
Amenities include a large screen cinema, a split-level sky bar on levels 44 and 45, 24/7 concierge and a large secure car park.

System Details

BS9251:2014 Cat 2, Coverage to all apartments, fed via a shared BCWS.

Client Issues

The designers incorporated a unique circular design for this tower which posed an issue for our pipework. Due to CPVC fittings only coming in 22.5˚/45˚/90˚elbows we couldn’t keep to our designated area in the service void.

RAD Solution

We referred to the manufactures guidance and incorporated their data on ‘Pipe Deflection’ this allowed us to bend the pipe to the perfect angle required. This really pleased our client as they were having to look into lowering ceilings to create more service void space.
